FIRST FLUSH
Typically the first flush is harvested from the very first buds and leaves of the tea plant in the early spring .The leaves are the youngest , tender and the purest, it is also known as the spring tea .The plucker are too careful while plucking and makes sure that the best shoots are plucked . First flush teas are most sorted among the tea connoisseurs due to its freshness, floral flavor.
HOW DOES IT TASTE?
One of the worlds finest black tea . The aroma from this cup of Darjeeling tea greets you with a soft flowery scent .If you have recently entered the world of loose leaf flush teas , this is definitely an option for you . The taste will linger in your tongue for a few minutes .Let it simmer and savour the cup .You can add honey as per your taste.

Please do not throw away the leaves after first brewing .Keep it covered in the infuser . Savor the next cup just by adding hot water. Steep it for more than 3 minutes, as per your taste .
COLOUR OF THE TEA LEAVES
The leaves are less oxidized during processing and appear more greenish in color once you open your tin caddy.
BREWING
The first flush tea leaves are the most delicate ones. Pour the hot water (80-85 degree C) over the tea leaves and keep it covered in the tea pot for 2- 3 minutes. Stain and savour your cup.
- No milk please.
- Do not pour hot boiling water over the tea leaves, you might burn the tender leaves and get a bitter taste.
- Do not boil the leaves in the water.
LIQUOR
The colour is always pale yellow in appearance with full transparency.
STORING
- Always store your tea in an airtight container, away from heat and sunlight.
- Keep your tea away from strong aromas coz the aromas may alter the taste of your tea.
- Tea is shelf stable because it is completely dry.
- Avoid storing tea in fridge, though its cool it is too humid for tea storage.
